After an asteroid strikes the upper atmosphere and causes a massive superstorm that threatens the entire planet, Air Force General Anderson (Michael Ironside) calls on two scientests: Dr.Timothy Briggs (Dale Midkiff) and Dr. Natalie Jamas (Wendy Carter) and a new weapon the U.S. Air Force has developed: Storm Fury, a device hauled behing a 747 that can increase or decrease the power of a storm.

With the hurricane superstorm approaching the United States, the 747 goes airborne in a race to save millions.
