| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Semi-Tough |
A hilarious satire of pro football and self-help movements of the '70's. Two football players are living platonically with the team owner's daughter (and he considers it "unnatural" that there's no hanky-panky going on) when one of them proposes to her. She accepts, much to the disbelief of the other guy. We follow the events leading up to the wedding as these characters wind their ways through the football season and various ways of "finding themselves."
