Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Tex
This movie, based on a book by teen author S.E. Hinton, is about two teenage boys growing up virtually parentless in rural 1970s Oklahoma. Tex is a simple, mischievious 15-year-old who loves horses, playing pranks and school, and his best friend's sister. He doesn't understand the lengths his older brother Mason must go through to pay the bills, make up for their dead mother and absentee father, and keep their small family fed.
