| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Don't Look Now |
John and Laura Baxter are grieving over the drowning death of their little girl. They travel to Venice during the off-season, in part to escape from their home in the English countryside but also because John is an art historian who's helping to restore a Venetian church. They meet a pair of elderly sisters, one of whom is clairvoyant. She immediately feels aconnection with Laura and warns her that she and her husband should leave Venice at once. Laura has a hard time convincing John, who doesn't believe in ESP, to heed the woman's advice, despite the fact that there is a serial killer hiding among the shadowy canals, looking for another victim.
