| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Q & A |
Q & A is a movie written and directed by Sidney Lumet in 1990. This film is based on a novel by Edwin Torres.
Al Reilly's first case as assistant District Attorney is the case of Detective Mike Brennan. Brennan has just killed a drug dealer named Tony Vasquez. Before the arrival of his colleagues on the crime scene, Brennan, using intimidation, has convinced two witnesses that Vasquez carried a gun and was aiming at him at the moment of the shooting.
At first, Reilly is impressed by Brennan's status as a living legend of the NYPD criminal department and simply takes note of Brennan's statement without asking for more details. But, after having listened to the witnesses, Reilly starts to have some doubts about Brennan's version. Soon, Reilly, as well as Brennan, are intensively searching for Roger Montalvo, a female impersonator, who was the one who tipped off Brennan about Vasquez. Both will finally find Montalvo in Puerto Rico. Will Brennan manage to kill the only person who could testify against him before Reilly can bring back Montalvo to NYC ?
