ANACONDAS: THE HUNT FOR THE BLOOD ORCHID is a movie directed by Dwight H. Little (Rapid Fire) in 2004.

An expedition of American scientists enters the Borneo jungle in order to find blood orchids whose composition may lead to the production of medicines extending human life. As this flower blooms every four years only, they have to hurry. They hire Bill Johnson and his boat and start to sail up the river but, unfortunately for them, it's the beginning of the monsoon. After having lost the boat in a waterfall, the group goes on by foot through the jungle. They are soon attacked by huge anacondas that seem to have themselves tasted the blood orchids.

--Daniel Staebler, Resident Scholar

A scientific expedition is underway and a group of scientists from various backgrounds are on the hunt for a rare blood orchid that is supposed to be the source of the Fountain of Youth. When they take a wrong turn and their boat falls down a waterfall they are forced to make their way through the jungle to safety. Except for one cell phone, all of their equipment, including their boat is destroyed. They encounter swamps, alligators and giant snakes along their journey. While they are on the hunt for the Blood Orchid, they are also being hunted by giant snakes. They soon find out that these Anacondas are protecting the Orchid and will do anything to protect it.
