| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Running Red |
Jeff Speakman stars as Gregori, a retired special forces soldier. After his brother gets killed in a raid, Gregori decides to quit and move to America. Eleven years later he is leading a comfortable life with his wife and daughter when his former comrades from the Soviet regime come asking for a favor. His former commander Alexi (Stanley Kamel) wants Gregori to pay him back for the favors he did for him in the Ukraine. Specifically, Alexi wants Gegori to perform a hit on Mercier (Bart Braverman) who also happened to be the man who killed his brother in the raid. The hit goes bad when Mercier isn't there and Gregori kills Diaz instead. When Gregori reports to Alexi he finds out he has to kill Mercier anyway. Gregori gets into the party where Mercier is and kills him, but his troubles have just begun because Alexi has kidnapped his wife Katherine (Angie Everhart) and daughter. Gregori must kill Councilman Chambers so that he can get his family back safe and Alexi can get a football stadium made that the Chambers wants blocked.
