| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Cold Sweat |
COLD SWEAT (De la part des copains), based on Richard Matheson's "Ride the Nightmare", was directed by Terence Young in 1970.
10 years ago, Joe Moran (Bronson) escaped from a German military prison with four other convicts. Shocked by the brutal murder of a policeman by the mercenary Katanga, Joe abandoned his partners at the prison gates and left with the car. The four cons were arrested and sent back to jail.
Now, Joe Moran is a new man, he's happily married to Fabienne, owns a fishing boat on the Côte d'Azur and is respected by the local community. One night, Captain Ross, Katanga and co. make their appearance at Joe's home. They want to set sail with Joe's boat and go offshore in order to buy some heroin from the French mob. In order to convince Joe, they kidnap Fabienne's 12 years old daughter at the summer camp and threatens Joe to kill her and his wife if he doesn't obey.
