DEEP RISING is a movie written and directed by Stephen Sommers in 1998.
A gang of thieves, led by Wes Studi, forces Treat Williams and his crew to guide them to the Argonautica, a deluxe cruise ship, in the middle of the China sea. When on board of the Argonautica, the hijackers discover with surprise that nobody is in the boat. A giant squid coming from the deep has already visited the ship and is about now to eat the newcomers.
