| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about City Heat |
An ex-cop, who is now a private eye, and a cop who don't particularely like each team up to solve a case.
The pi's partner was killed because he has evidence against a crime boss.
The pi and the cop try to find the evidence and protect the dead guy's girlfriend.
The pi finds the evidence, but before he can turn it in the crime boss kidnaps his girlfriend. The pi agrees to trade the evidence for the girl.
The cop shows up at the meeting, there's a shootout and all of the bad guys are killed. The pi finds one of the bad guys who survived and finds out where the girl is. She's being held in a cathouse.
The cop and the pi, in disguises, get into the cathouse, beat up the bad guys and rescue the girl. They save the girl, avenge the other pi's death and put the rest of the bad guys in jail.
