| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Dinner at the Ritz |
A financier is on the brink of ruin and has sent a letter naming the syndicate that is poised to close his bank. One of these men may be his daughter's (Annabella) fiancee, the debonaire Baron Philippe de Beaufort (Lukas). At a party, the body of the financier is found in his study. The verdict is suicide. This cannot be!
Devoted daughter Ranie Racine seeks to clear her father's name and find his killer. She knows it must be someone who crashed the party. Quite possibly the enigmatic playboy Paul de Brack (Niven). With the help of an opportunistic diamond merchant, she disguises herself as a Spanish marquesa and starts chasing clues to the casinos of Monte Carlo and on to England.
